Dear Calvary Baptist Church,
I wanted to write you a quick note today to let you know that I'm praying for you:
-
I'm praying that God will be merciful and that the spread of coronavirus will not be severe in our state.
-
I'm praying that you won't let yourself get overwhelmed, but will take any anxiety you may be experiencing and allow it to mobilize your prayers. (Phil 4:6-7)
-
I'm praying for opportunities for the gospel in the middle of this crisis. Keep your eyes open for chances to show Christ's love to those around you.
I also wanted to let you know a few things about Sunday:
-
We have decided to have our Sunday Morning Service virtually. To be clear, we won't be gathering in Georgetown, but we will be gathering online for our livestream. We plan to have the worship team lead us in singing and I will present our next message from the end of First Samuel. Please make every effort to watch/listen with us. We'd love to get a huge group watching the service in real time! The broadcast will start at 9:50 a.m.
-
We are postponing all other events for this weekend. There is no AWANA program Sunday night.
-
We have also postponed the joint service with Alpha and Omega until May 17. We are looking forward to that gathering!
-
We have not made a decision about subsequent weeks. We will be in touch with you about each Sunday when we have more information.
Let's all be praying for each other. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the church office by phone or by email.
Blessings,
Pastor Pete (for the Leadership Team)
